Happy Friday! We are at the end of our second week and we are still just as impressed with the quality of work as we were on the first day. Amazing Year 2! 

Today we saw some imaginative, colourful and creative artwork. Have a look at the photos below! Well done for showing us how you solved each reasoning problem and we are pleased you used Mrs O'Mahony's video to help you decide if it was multipy or divide. It was good for us to see your comprehension skills when completing the polar bear reading activity. Remember, it might help you to underline the answer in the text when solving retrieval questions.

Another day of fantastic work Year 2! You continue to impress us everyday  Today, we saw carefully written letters from Leaf and lots of you added detail like expanded noun phrases, adjectives and conjunctions. Have a look at the photos below to see some brilliant examples!

In maths, there were different questions where you needed to use your division skills to divide by 5. Well done to those who were challenging themselves with both sides of the sheet. We also saw some informative work based on different animal groups. You have had a busy day!

Happy Wednesday!

Lots of you sent very detailed sentences and remembered to use the conjunction 'because' correctly. We are pleased you identified different emotions throughout the story. We have seen wonderful division work and can see lots of you used sharing circles to solve some questions. We are pleased with how many of you are determined to challenge yourself with the extension questions. Well done! 

We hope you enjoyed the topic videos and have seen very creative, colourful and informative posters for each continent. Next week, we will look at the remaining continents.

We are very pleased with the amount of work we are receiving. Year 2 you are working so hard and have put big smiles on our faces today. Well done! 

We were looking forward to reading you the story of Leaf and can see that you are all enjoying the story and have a good understanding of the characters and the setting. Remember when you are writing your sentences, they must have capital letters and full stops! 

We are very impressed with how well you tried when using commas in a list and how many of you are practising your spellings. 

In maths, many of you have shown your multiplication skills when answering calculations with different representations. Amazing work.

Happy Monday! We hope you all had a lovely weekend and managed to spend some time outdoors. 

Well done for all of your hard work today, we always enjoy seeing what you have been up to. We loved reading your letters to your friends, teachers and family members. Well done for remembering to carefully think about each sentence and put in the accurate punctuation. Remember, to make your writing more interesting you could use the conjunctions 'and' and 'because' which will add more detail. 

We have seen fantastic mathematical skills today when working out odd and even numbers. Great work!
