Feedback from Friday 22nd January 2021
Congratulations, we have made it to the end of another week of Home Learning! A big thank you to all of the adults at home for their support this week.
We have been very pleased with the money work you have been doing in maths and today you have impressed us again with counting in pounds. Lots of you remembered to write the pound sign (£) in front of the number and demonstrated your ability to add different amounts of money.
Everybody showed a good understanding of the comprehension text about Europe and well done to those of you who remembered to write your answers as full sentences.
Lots of you enjoyed the music lesson from Mrs Coombes and it was lovely to see your photos and videos showing some potential rock band musicians!
Have an enjoyable and restful weekend.

Another fantastic day of home learning Year 2! You should all be very proud of your hard work.
We were very impressed to see all of your fact files for the Topic task. Everybody had used their researching skills to find out lots of interesting facts and your map drawings were amazing.
In English, lots of you started your action sentences with verbs. Everybody used a range of verbs for each of their sentences and some of you managed to include adverbs as well.
You all showed your understanding of adding coins in maths especially when explaining the answers to the trickier questions. Just remember to write the letter 'p' for pence after the number when writing your answers.
Enjoy your evening!

What a wonderful Wednesday! We are very impressed with your work today Year 2.
You have all shown a good understanding of coins and their value by working out the total amount in each of the money jars and making the total either by drawing or sticking on the correct coins. Lots of you challenged yourselves with the harder set of questions, well done!
Everybody was able to identify the correct group for each of the animals in Science and there were a lot of interesting facts about each animal.
We were pleased to read all of your character descriptions about Leaf. Lots of you used a wide range of adjectives and showed your expertise at writing expanded noun phrases.
You will see on the slideshow that some of you have been busy learning something new for Well Being Week. Well done to those children! We would still like to hear if anyone else has tried anything new.
Have a lovely evening.
