Feedback and pupil's Fantastic Work

Feedback from Friday 5th February 2021.

Wow Year 2! We cannot believe we have finished week 5 of home learning. This week we saw lots of you over zoom. It was lovely to see you all and we hope you enjoyed seeing your teachers and friends.

In English today, you were practising your comprehension skills. We saw that some of you underlined or highlighted the important parts in the text when looking for the answer. This is a fantastic idea and will help you when answering comprehension questions independently.

We were pleased with how hard you worked when answering the maths money questions and we hope you enjoyed Mrs Coombes' music video.

Have a wonderful, relaxing weekend and we will see you on Monday for the last week of half term!

Feedback from Thursday 4th February 2021

Happy Thursday!

Well done for your continued hard work today, we are very pleased with all the work we are receiving.

We have read some very interesting leaflets about a range of different arctic animals. You have worked hard to make sure they are colourful, include pictures and have used relevant subheadings. Great work.

You have used a variety of mathematical skills to answer the reasoning problems today. We are very pleased to see you have read the question carefully before answering it.

We hope you enjoyed learning more about features of our world. Well done for correctly identifying human and physical features. We will continue learning about this in our topic lesson next week.

Feedback from Wednesday 3rd February 2021.

Hello Year 2 laugh

You should all be proud of the work you produced today.

In maths, we asked you to find the difference between two coins. Well done for using your subtraction skills to solve these problems. Remember, you must use the £/P signs when adding and subtracting money. Thank you for producing fantastic notes about an arctic animal of your choice, you taught the teachers lots of interesting facts.

It has been wonderful to see so many photos and videos of your PSHE work. We are very impressed with the wide variety of skills that you are practising, as well as all the fantastic things that make you happy! Some photos have been displayed below and look out for some videos too! Keep sending these in as we love to see what you've been doing to keep yourselves busy.

Enjoy your evening.

Feedback from Tuesday 2nd February 2021

A huge round of applause for another day of excellent work. Well done Year 2!

Yesterday, we saw some brilliant facts all about polar bears and today we saw so many of you used your skills to put these notes into full sentences when sharing information in your leaflet. We were pleased to see lots of you enjoyed creating your leaflet by making them interesting and eye catching when changing the colours, fonts and pictures.

Well done for continuing to use your addition skills when finding the totals, remember to use your addition methods to solve the problems if you're unsure.

You have been busy! Keep up the hard work.

Feedback from Monday 1st February 2021

We cannot believe it is February already!

We enjoyed receiving all your fantastic work today and hope you enjoyed the activities set. In English, your task was to research facts about a polar bear and make notes about the information you found. Note taking is a really important skill to learn and we were very impressed with what you produced. Well done for using bullet points and key words.

In Maths, we asked you to find the total of different amounts. You had to use your addition skills to solve the problems. We were blown away with the addition skills you've shown and you can see a selection of super work in the photos below. Remember, when you are adding money, you must always show the unit of measure e.g. £/p

Well done to everyone who made a great start of learning their spellings for this week.

Have a lovely evening.
