Congratulations everybody we made it to the end of half term!

We were pleased to see lots of you showing your understanding of animals in hot climates by using the text to answer the questions and some of you wrote your answers as full sentences, well done.

There were a lot of you shopping today! We were very impressed with your shops and the examples you showed us of finding the cost and then giving change. 

We hope you enjoyed the music video from Mrs Coombes.

Year 2 you have worked very hard this half term and we are so proud of the work you have been completing at home. A special thank you to your adults for all of their support with the home learning, we really appreciate it. 

We wish everybody a restful and relaxing half term break.

Fantastic work Year 2, we have been super impressed!

All of your leaflets were full of interesting facts about the desert animals you had chosen to write about. There was a wide variety of pictures, from photographs and clipart to hand drawn pictures. Everybody has definitely shown their super skills at leaflet writing over the last 2 weeks, well done!

In maths it was good to see lots of you accurately subtracting larger amounts of money and remembering to write the number calculations. 

We were amazed at all of your Topic pictures showing the physical and human features of the seaside. Well done for remembering to label each feature.

Another day of fantastic home learning Year 2, well done!

You have been using your research skills to find out lots of fascinating facts about desert animals. It was good to see the different range of animals each of you chose to write about. We are looking forward to seeing your leaflets tomorrow!

Everybody has continued to show their expertise in finding change and lots of you wrote the calculations to show how you worked out each answer. 

In Science you have all shown a good understanding of the life processes for living things and we were pleased to see scientific explanations for your answers to the last two questions.

Well done everybody for all of your hard work today.

We have been very impressed with the wide range of leaflets everybody has produced either on Purple Mash or on paper. Lots of you have been creative with how you have presented your facts and you can see this on the examples below. Well done for remembering to include the features of a leaflet such as subheadings, bullet points, an introduction and a variety of pictures.  

In maths you have continued to show us your subtraction knowledge when solving the finding the change questions. Some of you wrote number calculations to show your workings out which was really good. 

We have seen some fantastic Digiduck masks and videos to raise awareness of internet safety. The messages in the videos show that everybody has remembered the importance of being safe when using the internet.

What a great start to the week Year 2! You have all been super busy. 

We have been amazed with all of your interesting and fascinating facts about camels. Everyone remembered their research and note taking skills to find a wide range of information. 

Everybody demonstrated their subtraction knowledge when finding change and well done if you remembered to write the number calculations for each of your answers. 

It was impressive to see how many of you solved the spellings crossword puzzle and chose the correct tenses when changing the verbs and correcting the sentences.
