We have been very impressed with what a fantastic first week of home learning you have all had Year 2!

Both you and your grown ups should be very proud of yourselves.

We have received lots of beautiful work today, well done everyone! We were delighted to hear that you enjoyed all of the videos that we made for you.

Have a lovely weekend everyone.

Feedback for Thursday 7th January

Wow Year 2! What a fabulous day of home learning you have had!

You have all shown a very good understanding of the story Leaf, by confidently answering the comprehension questions to a very high standard. Lots of you used the conjunction 'because' to explain your answers which is very impressive.

We are glad to hear that many of you enjoyed listening to the Halving PowerPoint taught by Miss Cadman. A huge thank you to those of you who sent in pictures and videos of you completing the 'Halving Hunt', we hope you had lots of fun in doing so.

We have been sent lots of beautiful drawings of reptiles and amphibians which you can see below. Also a big well done for completing the quiz on Purple Mash.

Have a lovely evening everyone.

Feedback for Wednesday 6th January

Well done for another great day of home learning Year 2.

We received great reviews today about Mrs Bower's story reading. We are very pleased to hear that you are all enjoying our daily videos.

We have been very impressed with how hard you have all tried with today's English task. There has been some confusion over Exclamation sentences. Remember that exclamation sentences start with 'How' or 'What' and contain a noun and a verb.

For example:

What a strange creature he is!

All of the Year 2 teachers are very happy with your maths work. We hope that you all now feel a lot more confident with the 2 times table.

We received lots of emails to say how much you all enjoyed naming and locating continents and oceans. It was great to see lots of you using globes to help you.

Keep up the good work Year 2!

Feedback for Tuesday 5th January

We would like to say a huge well done to everyone for a fantastic first day of home learning. We are very impressed with everyone's efforts.

Have a look at the slideshow of pictures below to see what everyone has been up to. As you can see, everyone has completed the work in a style that suits them.

We enjoyed reading the answers to your Thinking Hat questions about the book Leaf. We hope that you will continue to enjoy tasks based around our new story.

You all did a super job of completing the homophone activities. Remember to keep trying hard with your handwriting.

We are very impressed with how many of you challenged yourselves in maths, well done everyone!

We are very excited to see what wonderful work you all produce tomorrow.

Have a lovely evening.
