Science: Materials

 

This half term in Science we are learning all about materials. This will include children completing a range of tasks and investigations over the coming weeks.

 

Science this week introduces materials and the different sorts. The lesson is all on the video with a voice over. There is a starter, teaching section and task to complete. Mr Padgett will advise children on the video how to complete the tasks.

 

When following the video you will need to pause at certain points which Mr Padgett will tell you for children to complete tasks. The sheet to complete the final task is attached.

COMPUTING: Sorting

 

Log on to Purple Mash where you will see 4 tasks have been set for you. These are all based on sorting shapes.

Shapes and colour

 

Look at the criteria for sorting on each task and place the shapes in the right place.

Remember to name the shapes as you do this.

 

The ‘Shapes and colour’ activity is even more challenging! What do you think might go in the part where the sorting circles overlap? Why?
