The Senior Leadership Team

 

All members of the SLT work together across the school to ensure all children have access to a curriculum that fulfils the school’s vision and mission statement.

 

Headteacher

Ms. Joanne Travi

 

Joanne oversees the Senior Leadership Team as well as Administrative and Site staff.

She is responsible for the Special Educational Needs and Family Work Teams.

 

In addition, Joanne works alongside the Curriculum Leaders for the Art & DT, Humanities Music & PSHE

 

This year, Joanne is a Early Career Teacher mentor.

 

Designated lead for safeguarding.

Deputy Headteacher

Mr. Steve Read

 

Steve is the Year 6 Phase Leader.

He is responsible for overseeing pupil progress and achievement.

 

Steve leads on the development of staff across Bushmead.

In addition, Steve works alongside the core coordinators for Maths and PE.

Assistant Headteacher

Mrs Gaynor Blair

 

Gaynor is the Early Years phase leader.

She is responsible for overseeing pupil progress and achievement in this year group.

 

Gaynor leads on the teaching and learning of phonics across Bushmead.

In addition, Gaynor is responsible for KS1 behaviour and is the mental health and well-being lead.

 

This year, Gaynor is working as a mentor for staff completing National Professional Qualifications in senior leadership and curriculum.

Assistant Headteacher

Mrs. Helen Scarrott

 

Helen is the Year 3, 4 & 5 phase leader.

She is responsible for overseeing pupil progress and achievement in these year groups.

 

Helen leads on English across the school.  She is also a School Based Mentor for a student teacher.

 

 

 

Assistant Head Teacher

Mr. Kieron Leech

 

Kieron is the Year 3 , 4 & 5 Phase Leader.

He is responsible for overseeing pupil progress and achievement in these year groups.

 

Kieron leads on GDPR, is the school’s Educational Visits Coordinator (EVC) and is the Key Stage 2 behaviour and anti-bullying lead. 

In addition, Kieron is also the lead member of staff for extra-curricular activities and attendance.

 

This year, Kieron is working as a School Based Tutor for a member of staff during their Shire training.

Assistant Head Teacher

Mrs. Daniella Toyer

 

Daniella is the Year 1 and Year 2 Phase Leader. 

She is responsible for overseeing pupil progress and achievement in these year groups. 

 

Daniella leads on the development of our outdoor areas and is our Outdoor Learning Lead Teacher.

 

Daniella is responsible for induction of all staff and she also co-ordinates Initial Teacher Training placements.

In addition, Daniella also manages volunteers and work experience placements.
